We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Georgie Ferrari to the role of CE, Wellington Community Trust.

“I love the vibrancy and heart of the Wellington region. I can’t wait to return and starting working again with the local communities and organisations.”

Georgie brings more than 25 years’ experience in the not-for-profit sector, working in the areas of youth, health, housing, disability, education and violence prevention in New Zealand, New South Wales and Victoria.  Along with a masters degree in policy and human service management from RMIT, Georgie has a broad range of leadership skills and experience to lead the implementation of our new strategic vision, investment portfolio and granting framework.

Georgie has lived in Melbourne for the last 15 years, and has served as the Chief Executive Officer for the Youth Affairs Council of Victoria for 14 years. Before moving to Australia, Georgie was the programme manager for the YWCA of Wellington and Hutt Valley for five years. In her spare time she enjoys riding her bike, cooking delicious food, walking in parks and going on adventures with her five-year old son, Claude.

Having planned her return home for almost five years, Georgie is delighted to be coming back to Wellington, to take up the exciting role of Chief Executive with the Wellington Community Trust – starting on August 21.
