Clare NeedhamClare is a qualified lawyer with a strong interest in the performing arts and literature.

Clare was appointed to Wellington Community Trust (WCT) in 2013.

She is a lawyer with a passion for the arts and her varied career has included work as a theatre producer, policy analyst, writer and editor.

She is currently a principal advisor at the Wellington City Council. Clare is a recent past director and past Deputy Chair of Dance Aotearoa New Zealand. She is a managing editor of the New Zealand literary magazine JAAM.

Clare loves serving on the Wellington Community Trust and helping to support the work of all the amazing organisations that make the Wellington region such a great place to live.

Clare was born and bred in Wellington and lives in Karori with her son Cole. Together they enjoy Wellington’s wonderful beaches, parks, performance spaces and community facilities.
